At ChitSheet, we take your privacy extremely seriously. In fact, we take it so seriously that we don't even have a database to store your data in the first place.

1. Local Storage Only

All data you enter into ChitSheet (including your cheat sheets, layouts, and settings) is saved strictly within your own browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device. We do not have servers, databases, or cloud syncing.

2. What We Don't Collect

• We don't collect your personal information (name, email, etc.) because there are no accounts.
• We don't track what you type or paste into the editor.
• We don't share any data with third parties (because we don't have any data to share).

3. Analytics

We may use basic, privacy-friendly analytics (like GoatCounter or Plausible) strictly to see how many people visit the site. This data is fully anonymized and does not track you across the web.

4. Your Responsibilities

Because your data is stored locally in your browser, clearing your browser cache or site data will delete your cheat sheets. We highly recommend using the "Export Backup" feature in Settings before clearing your browser data or if you need to move your sheets to another device.

5. Academic Integrity

ChitSheet is designed to help you format notes for open-book exams or study sessions. We do not condone academic dishonesty. Please use this tool responsibly and in accordance with your institution's rules.
